FAQ
Here you can quickly find answers to frequently asked questions.
Alarm NR.4
CAUSE: If the evaporator gets below 19°C, the heat pump stops. Error No. 4 appears in the display. The temperature is outside the heat pump’s range of action.
REMEDY: The heating rod must take over the heating. When gas defrosting, check if the magnetic valve opens during defrosting. Wait until the temperature is within the heat pump’s action range.
Water droplets come out with the exhaust air?
CAUSE: It’s due to a lack of information. high humidity in the intake air. This does not affect the operation of the heat pump. This will typically happen on 1 January 2017. time the heat pump is started up. It can also occur if clothes are dried in the same room as the heat pump takes air from.
The hot water gets cold at great consumption ?
REASON: The heat pump can supply approximately 320L of hot water in a stretch of 40°C hot water at a starting temperature of 55°C in the container. If the need for hot water is greater, the heat pump will not be able to keep up. The heating rod will therefore help with the heating if it is connected.
REMEDIATION: Check if the heat source combination with the heating rod is activated.
Water is running out on the floor?
REASON: Check that the heat pump is in cotton wool. Check that the thaw runs correctly into the collecting tray. Check that the drain hose from the thaw drain has not stopped.
REMEDY: Put the heat pump in cotton wool. Properly mount the collection tray. Clean the drain hose.
The display is not active, readout data is not possible ?
REASON: If the display has been removed and not correctly mounted on the base print. Static electricity can knock the display out.
REMEDIATION: Properly mount the display connector in the base print. Replace the display. Check if the ground line is correctly mounted on the overdoor.
No lights in panel ?
CAUSE: Check the fuse. Check if the power plug is plugged into the wall. Check if the switch is on on the wall. Check if the heat pump is on.
REMEDIATION: Change security if necessary. Plug in the socket. Turn on the power outlet. Turn on the heat pump.
The compressor doesn’t start?
REASON: A delay of 5 min is built in, from compressor stop to new start. Only for models with electronic control.
REMEDY: Wait 5 min. and re-check the compressor.
The compressor is running all the time and the water doesn’t get hot enough?
REASON: Radiator/underfloor heating is connected to the heat pump and the need for underfloor heating is greater than the heat pump can follow. The evaporator has stopped. There may be a leak in the cooling system, all or some of the refrigerant is lost. Measure the temperatures in the cooling system for control.
REMEDIATION: Install thermostat so that the water of use always has 1. Priority. Gently clean the evaporator with clean water. Find the leak and repair it, fill refrigerant. Quantity: See type sign.
The compressor is running all the time, the water is warmer than indicated, the high pressure press stand is emitting (alarm no. 5) ?
CAUSE: The sensors are not positioned correctly in the sensor pockets. The sensors should be placed at the bottom of the sensor pockets.
REMEDIATION: Place the sensors correctly in the sensor pockets.
Condensation drain drips ?
CAUSE: Condensation comes during the heating process. This occurs when the surface temperature of the evaporator is below the dew point temperature of the intake air.
REMEDY: The condensation water is collected in the thawing tray and passed through the mounted thawing hose to the floor drain.
The cooling system strikes out on the high pressure pressostate (alarm no. 5) ?
REASON: The ambient temperature is higher than +35°C and the cooling system hits the high pressure pressostat. The cooling system has reached its maximum temperature. This may be due to little or no airflow over the evaporator.
MITIGATION: Expect lower ambient temperature and activate the high-pressure pressostat by pressing the reset button. Gently clean the evaporator with clean water. Set the fan speed to max. Activate the high-pressure pressostat.
The cooling system knocks out the high pressure pressostat and the water gets very hot (alarm no. 5) ?
REASON: The cooling system has reached its maximum temperature and is hitting out on the high pressure pressostat. The maximum constant temperature must not exceed 55°C. However, the Legionella control function will increase the temperature to 65°C once a week.
REMEDIATION: Replace the thermostat/sensors if defective. Activate the high-pressure pressostat by pressing the reset button in.
The safety valve on the cold water pipe drips ?
REASON: When the water is heated this expands and the water pressure increases. The safety group on the cold water pipe prevented the water from flowing back. The valve will therefore take the pressure by letting out a little water. The pressure in the container must never exceed 10 Bar.
REMEDIATION: It is quite normal that occasionally water comes out of the safety valve during the heating process.
The water won’t get hot enough?
REASON: The operating thermostat is set too low.
MITIGATION: Set the operating thermostat to a higher temperature.
The heat pump just started up and the water doesn’t get hot?
CAUSE: It takes about 8 hours at 20°C air temperature to warm the water up to 55°C. At lower air temperature, it takes longer.
REMEDY: Turn off the radiator/underfloor heating circuit, if one is installed. Turn on any changes that may be made to the for auxiliary heating. Electric/kettle.
The heat pump doesn’t work?
REASON: Is there light in the panel.
REMEDY: Turn on the heat pump.
